/ Connect · Quickbase

Quickbase developer
for the app you already run.

Your operations live in Quickbase. Your orders start on your website. We write the Quickbase API integration between them — so every web order lands as linked records with an owner, a verified price, and one order number that means the same thing everywhere.

Begin the Conversation

Quickbase is a low-code database platform businesses use to run operations — orders, jobs, production, approvals. Quickbase API integration connects that app to everything else, starting with your website. Axesris is a Quickbase developer and consultant in Torrance that writes those integrations: web orders arriving as linked records, owners assigned, prices verified, and nothing lost between systems.

Most of the businesses that call us about Quickbase already have an app. Someone — often another firm — built it years ago, and the team runs on it every day. The tables are there, the reports are there, the people who use it know where everything is. What isn't there is a clean way for work to arrive. Orders come in through the website and get re-typed. Line items are pasted as a block of text. Nobody is sure which web lead became which job.

That's the work we do. We don't rebuild an app that works. We connect the website to the existing Quickbase app through its API, write records the way the app expects them, and add the small pieces — a formula field, a board view, a repair job — that make the data trustworthy once it's flowing.

Quickbase website integration has one trap that catches almost everyone: the API can answer with a success code while rejecting a row. A form that checks for "200 OK" will tell the customer their order went through when nothing was saved. We count a write as successful only when Quickbase returns a record ID, and anything that fails is retried and logged rather than lost.

The other half is attribution. When web orders arrive in Quickbase with their source attached, you can finally see which channels produce real orders rather than visits — including AI assistants, which are sending more traffic than most owners realize.

/ When Quickbase Is the Right Tool

Quickbase or a CRM?

A CRM like HubSpot or Zoho CRM is built around a sale: contacts, companies, deals, a pipeline, email. It's the right tool when the hard part of your business is winning the customer and keeping in touch with them.

Quickbase is built around your own data model. It's the right tool when the hard part comes after the sale — when an order turns into production steps, artwork approvals, multiple line items with their own status, or work that moves between departments. You define the tables and relationships yourself, so the app can match an operation no off-the-shelf CRM was designed for.

Plenty of businesses need both: a CRM for sales and Quickbase for operations, with an integration carrying the order across. If you're starting from nothing and your process is mostly sales follow-up, a CRM is usually simpler and cheaper — see our HubSpot and Zoho CRM pages. If you already run on Quickbase, keep it, and connect it properly.

/ What We Build

Quickbase API integration and the pieces that keep it honest.

01 · Website-to-Quickbase Orders

A web order becomes a parent request with its line items as child records, linked by SKU — not a paragraph of text in a notes field. Each line carries its own product, quantity, and price, so Quickbase reports work on web orders like any other.

02 · Verified Writes

Success counted only when Quickbase returns a record ID. Rejected rows caught, retried, and logged. The customer is told their order went through only when it actually did.

03 · Server-Side Pricing

Quoted prices recomputed on the server and written to the order lines, so the number in Quickbase is the number you agreed to — not whatever the page happened to send.

04 · Owners, Summaries & Uploads

An owner assigned to every lead the moment it arrives. A plain-text order summary staff can read at a glance. Customer artwork and files uploaded on the website and attached to the record.

05 · One Order Number, Repaired Automatically

The same order number in the website, the email, and Quickbase. A scheduled job runs every two minutes and repairs any link that was missed, so a brief outage never leaves orphaned records.

06 · Formula Fields & Board Views

Formulas that classify requests by type so reports group them correctly. A stage board that shows every order where it actually is — backfilled with historical orders, so it's useful on day one.

07 · Lead Source Attribution

First-touch and last-touch source written to every lead — search, ads, email, AI assistants, direct — so Quickbase can tell you which channels produce orders, not just visits.

/ How It's Wired

Website order to Quickbase record.

  1. WebsiteOrder submitted with artwork and source
  2. ServerPrices recomputed; order number assigned
  3. QuickbaseParent request written; record ID confirmed
  4. QuickbaseLine items linked by SKU; owner assigned
  5. Repair jobEvery 2 minutes, missed links fixed
  6. BoardOrder tracked through six stages

Nothing counts as saved until Quickbase hands back a record ID — and anything that slips is repaired within two minutes.

/ Systems We've Built

Website-to-operations database on Quickbase.

A B2B supplier ran its operations on an existing Quickbase app built by another firm. The app worked. The website didn't talk to it properly. We connected the website to the existing Quickbase app and built the pieces around it.

Orders as real records. Every website order now becomes a parent request with its line items linked by SKU. A write counts as successful only when Quickbase returns a record ID, because Quickbase can answer 200 while rejecting a row.

The right price. Quoted prices are recomputed on the server and written to the order lines. That fixed a real case: an order quoted at $1,910 was being charged on $1,575.

Ownership and context. An owner is assigned on every lead. Staff get a plain-text summary of the order instead of reconstructing it from fields. Artwork the customer uploads on the website is attached to the lead.

One number, kept whole. One order number runs across every system. A job every two minutes repairs any link that was missed between the request and its lines.

Making the data usable. A request-type formula now classifies 210 requests into 5 types. A six-stage board was backfilled with 211 orders, so the team saw its full history from the first day. First- and last-touch source is recorded on every lead.

What the attribution showed. Before lead tracking was fixed, analytics reported zero conversions from 1,840 direct, 750 ChatGPT, and 308 Google sessions. ChatGPT was sending more than twice Google's traffic — and none of it was being credited. That's why we pair this work with AI search optimization.

/ Problems We Fix

Common Quickbase integration failures.

"It said it worked" — but no record exists

Quickbase can return a 200 response while rejecting the row. Integrations that check the status code alone report success on orders that were never saved. We check for the returned record ID.

Line items stuck in a text field

Whole orders pasted into one notes field, so nothing can be reported or tracked per item. We write proper child records linked by SKU.

Quoted and charged prices that don't match

Like the $1,910 quote charged on $1,575. We recompute prices on the server and write them to the lines so the record is the agreement.

Orphaned records after an outage

A parent saved, its lines lost. A scheduled repair job finds and fixes missing links every two minutes.

Leads with no owner and no source

Nobody responsible, and no idea where the lead came from. Every lead gets an owner and first- and last-touch attribution on arrival.

/ Quickbase FAQ

Questions people ask a Quickbase consultant.

Can you connect my website to Quickbase?

Yes. We write a Quickbase API integration that turns each website order into a parent request with linked line items by SKU, assigns an owner, recomputes prices on the server, attaches uploaded files, and records the lead source. One order number runs across the website and Quickbase, and a scheduled job repairs any missed links every two minutes.

Do you work on an existing Quickbase app or build new ones?

Our Quickbase work is integration on existing apps. In our main Quickbase project, another firm had built the app and we connected the website to it, then added a request-type formula, a six-stage board backfilled with 211 orders, and lead attribution. We change what the integration needs and leave the parts that work alone. If you need a new app, we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.

Should I use Quickbase or a CRM like HubSpot?

Use a CRM when the hard part of your business is winning and following up with customers. Use Quickbase when the hard part comes after the sale, such as production steps, approvals, and line items that each have their own status. Many businesses use both, with a CRM for sales and Quickbase for operations. If you already run on Quickbase, connect it properly rather than replacing it.

Why does the Quickbase API say success but no record appears?

Quickbase can return a 200 response while rejecting a row, for example when a field value fails validation. An integration that only checks the status code will report success on a record that was never saved. The fix is to treat a write as successful only when Quickbase returns a record ID, and to retry and log anything that does not.

How much does a Quickbase developer cost?

Quickbase development is scoped per project. The cost depends on how many tables the integration writes to, whether prices need to be verified, whether files are uploaded, and what repair and reporting pieces you need. We review your existing app and your website first, then give you a fixed scope and price before any work starts.

Can Quickbase show which marketing channel a lead came from?

Yes, if the website sends it. We record first-touch and last-touch source on every lead, so Quickbase reports can show which channels produce orders. In one case, analytics had shown zero conversions from 1,840 direct, 750 ChatGPT, and 308 Google sessions before tracking was fixed, with ChatGPT sending more than twice Google's traffic.
